As in the past few afternoons and evenings, flash flood advisories have been issued for the Front Range mountain areas, including the Fourmile Fire burn area. If you live in or are visiting any of these areas during a rain event, you should be aware of flood conditions and prepare yourself in the event of a flood event.
We are entering the monsoon season where frequent intense thunderstorms are possible at any time, but most often occur in the late afternoon or evening.
Because thunderstorms occur over wide areas and tend to affect drainages throughout a region, we do not update this site with specific information unless an event occurs that closes roadways and causes widespread flooding. We urge anyone who lives in an area susceptible to flooding at this time of year to refresh yourself with what to do and how to prepare in the event of a flood emergency.
