7/30/12 4 p.m. - Road closures in Fourmile Canyon

Gold Run at Dixon & Fourmile Canyon Rd. at Poorman are closed due to rocks and debris on roadway.

July 30 - 3:32 p.m. - Flash Flood Warning for Fourmile Burn Area

The National Weather Service has issued a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for  the Four Mile Burn Area until 5:30 p.m.  The Boulder Emergency Operations Center is monitoring storm activity. 

7/16/12 6:15 p.m. Flash Flood Warning for Fourmile Burn Area Cancelled -

The  National Weather Service has cancelled the Flash Flood Warning for the Fourmile Burn Area. 

July 16 - OEM monitoring storm activity

The Office of Emergency Management is monitoring storm activity for the Boulder area and the Fourmile Canyon Fire area. RESIDENTS IN THE FOURMILE CANYON FIRE AREA SHOULD BEGIN TO PREPARE FOR POTENTIAL FLASH FLOOD CONDITIONS.

The National Weather Service has issued a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for Boulder County (City of Boulder not affected, Four Mile Burn Area affected) including:

from: Current to 630 PM. Central Boulder County, including the Four Mile Burn Area
Prime time for flooding: Current to 615 PM.

Forecast rainfall: Heavy rainfall of 0.40" to 1.25" will be likely across central Boulder County including the Four Mile Burn area.

Cluster of storms grew in size and continuing NNW through Jefferson
County and into Bounder County at about 10 mph producing rain in the amounts of
0.4 - 1.2" in 10 to 30 minutes. These storms could produce hail up to 0.75".

7/16/12 Flash Flood Warning 4:45 p.m.- Fourmile burn area only

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for The Fourmile Burn Area in Boulder County.  The City of Boulder is NOT affected at this time.  Those in the burn area should go to high ground immediately and stay out of flood waters either in a vehicle or on foot. 

The City of Boulder may experience nuisance flooding from thunderstorms in the area this afternoon.
